Braen Stone has worked hard to help improve the infrastructure found in our highways, shores and many other places throughout NJ, NY, NYC and PA. By supplying a diverse line of products, Braen Stone has succeeded in aiding various construction projects. Take a look at Braen Stone on the job.
Throughout the years, the New York shore has experienced a lot of damage due to rough weather conditions such as hurricanes and nor’easters. Both intense weather conditions have led to heartache for many homeowners along the Long Island coast. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded Bay Shore-based H&L Contracting, LLC the contract to carry out the Coastal Storm Risk Management Project. The project consists of rehabilitating existing jetties as well as building new ones to protect the coastline. Braen Stone was commissioned to supply jetty materials for this project.
New Jersey roadways are the most traveled and abused roadways in the United States. With that being said, keeping them safe and in great condition, is a priority. Braen Stone is proud to have partnered with Della Pello Paving Inc. on the Pavement Preservation Contract North 2016-1. Braen Stone received an award at the 2017 NJAPA Annual Asphalt Pavement Awards for this project. It won in the category: Resurfacing of a State Highway or Toll with a Thin Overlay and a Minimum of 5,000 Tons of Asphalt Pavement.
Braen Bunker Sand
The Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong, New Jersey was suffering from poor drainage on its golf course. Every time it rained, the bunkers would fill with water, which would spill over onto the fairway and damage the grass. It would take countless man-hours to repair the course so it was in a playable condition. As a result, the golf club embarked on a project to redesign the traps with proper drainage.
