Agricultural Limestone

Agricultural Lime is a fine aggregate material that has been produced through crushing, washing, and sizing.  Agricultural Lime is also known as aglime, garden lime and liming.

Material Details

Primarily used for agriculture, gardening and livestock farming.

Used as a fertilizer to correct high levels of acidity in the soil, which reduces plant growth. Over time, the application of modem chemical fertilizers is a major contributor to soil acidity.

Used in coal burners at power plants to reduce the pollutants from emissions.

Other types of lime products, such as hydrated lime can be used as a disinfectant measure, producing a dry and alkaline environment in which bacteria do not readily multiply.

In horticultural farming it can be used as an insect repellent, without causing harm to the pest or plant.
